JBCN International School Students Raise Funds, Deliver Winter Aid to Cancer Patient Families at Shraddha Foundation, Chembur

Four students from JBCN International School, Chembur, organised a campus bake sale and used the entire proceeds to buy blankets, floor mats and other essentials for families of cancer patients sheltered at the Shraddha Foundation in Sindhi Camp, Chembur.
Aarav Lele, Arhaan Lightwalla, Shivaan Sharma and Vir Gangoly baked and sold cupcakes, brownies and cookies during a recent parent-teacher meeting, with support from classmates and the wider school community. The sale raised funds that the students directed in full toward the Shraddha Foundation, which houses outstation cancer patients and their relatives — many travelling from Bihar, West Bengal and Odisha for treatment in Mumbai.
After visiting the shelter and speaking with residents, the students identified essential needs, purchased winter and comfort items, and returned to the shelter to distribute them directly to families.
"We wanted to show that no action is too small when it comes to helping others," the students said in a joint statement. "Meeting the families at the Shraddha Foundation taught us a profound lesson about privilege, gratitude, and true emotional strength."
