The Ministry of External Affairs released a list of rescued Indian nationals. Sixty-three workers from the Trishuli-I project in Nepal have been safely rescued. Authorities are still attempting to contact 290 other Indian nationals. Twenty-one rescued workers hailed from Tamil Nadu, contributing to the overall effort. This rescue operation involved significant coordination and communication.

The Ministry of External Affairs on Thursday released the list of names of 63 Indian nationals working at Trishuli-I project in Nepal who have been rescued.



The government announced that 290 Indian Nationals have not been contactable, while the authorities rescued 63 workers of the Trishuli-I project, and 21 from Tamil Nadu.



The 21 Tamil Nadu nationals had travelled to Nepal for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, while the 63 rescued workers were associated with the Trishuli-I project in the neighbouring nation.

The massive flash floods originating in Tibet swept through central Nepal earlier on Wednesday, devastating several towns and villages. The extensive water flow washed away critical bridges and crippled a dozen hydropower projects, as it gushed downstream, affecting multiple districts.



According to the latest update from Nepal's National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA), rescue authorities have recovered 359 bodies, while 910 people remain missing or out of contact.



The casualties have been reported from eight districts of Nepal, with Chitwan recording the highest number of recovered bodies at 132, followed by Nawalparasi East with 82, Gorkha with 30, Dhading with 33, Nuwakot with 28, Tanahun with 22, Rasuwa with 17 and Nawalparasi West with 15.
