‘I will share evidence of violence I suffered’: Himanshi Khurrana warns Asim Riaz amid conversion row

By Sohail Khan 25 August 2026, 10:21 am

The fight between Asim Riaz and Himanshi Khurrana has taken an ugly turn. The couple, who dated for four years after meeting on Bigg Boss in 2019, have now begun threatening to share evidence of things said and exchanged between them during their relationship. It all started after Himanshi, in a recent podcast, cited religious differences as the reason for their breakup. Recalling that phase of her life, she said she felt it was her last chance to undertake the Char Dham Yatra and other pilgrimages. Asim’s reaction to her comments, however, prompted Himanshi to hit back.

Taking to X, Himanshi wrote, “I have always been respectful and mindful while sharing my personal journey publicly… whether it was my Bigg Boss experience, my spiritual journey, or matters concerning my health. I shared these aspects of my life with honesty and never used them as an excuse to disrespect or target anyone. I never said ‘forceful conversion’ was there. People and media set that narrative.”

Clarifying that she never accused Asim of forcing her to convert, Himanshi slammed the actor for his comments about her weight. “However, when my health is mocked and my struggles are questioned, I believe it is time to draw a line. If we are going to talk about proofs, then let’s talk about everything. I am prepared to share the facts and evidence (CCTV footages, recordings… hope you remember that early morning of 27.11.23) surrounding the conversion-related matter and yes the violence I suffered.”

She warned her ex that if he continued to tarnish her image, she would no longer protect his either, despite being “repeatedly insulted and disrespected.” She added, “I have maintained my dignity and shown respect, and I expect the same in return. If that respect is not going to be reciprocated, then I have no reason to remain silent anymore.”

Reacting to Asim’s threat to share a screenshot from their dating days, Himanshi said, “If you want to play the ‘proof’ game, then let’s play it honestly – with facts, accountability, and the complete truth.” She concluded, “P.S. I really don’t understand why people have a problem when I share my own journey, my learnings, while everyone else openly talks about their experiences. Why is it any different when I choose to share mine?”

What sparked the fight?

About ten days ago, Himanshi appeared on a podcast with Paras Chhabra, where she spoke about her relationship with Asim and her spiritual journey.

Speaking on the podcast, Himanshi said, “He used to tell me the good things about his religion. Everyone tells you about those things; there is nothing wrong with that. They wanted me to understand it and accept it, but it was not acceptable to me. There was nothing wrong with him, he never misbehaved with me, but it was my own choice that I did not want to do something like that.”

She added, “I felt I wouldn’t be able to do this anymore. So I said I want to visit Char Dham and all the pilgrimages before that, because after that I would never be able to meet them. It was like I was saying goodbye.”

Himanshi also said she felt like she was betraying her God. Her comments soon went viral, with several social media users framing them as a case of “forceful conversion”, prompting a reaction from Asim.

Taking to his Instagram Stories, Asim wrote, “I never asked anyone to change their religion. Not once. Matter of fact, I was the one who pushed you towards fitness. You’ve been in this shape only after meeting me; before that, everyone knew how you looked. So please, don’t use religion as a weapon. It’s a deeply sensitive subject, and turning something so personal into a reason for people to hate me is immature and only shows how low you’re willing to go for attention.”

He also targeted Paras Chhabra, calling him a “pig.”

He wrote, “And to the man behind the microphone, sitting there with his stomach hanging out like a pig while making gossip his profession, brother, respectfully, I’d suggest spending a little less time discussing other people’s lives and a little more time in the gym.”

He later took to X and wrote, “Bad relationship- thyroid, anxiety, depression, nosebleed, face old, Smell from hair, face acne. So why did you message me after 3 months in March and wanted to get back to this relationship? Don’t worry, I have the message screenshot; if needed, I will post it next time.”
