The draft electoral rolls of Haveri district were published on Monday as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026, with Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Vijayamahantesh Danammanavar urging voters to verify their names and particulars.

Addressing presspersons in Haveri on Monday, Mr. Danammanavar said that claims and objections can be filed till September 23, while the disposal process will continue till October 22. The final electoral rolls are scheduled to be published on October 27.

The draft rolls cover the district’s six Assembly constituencies and contain 12,20,281 voters — 6,22,375 men, 5,97,879 women and 27 third gender voters, besides 845 service voters.

Before the SIR, there were 13,35,342 voters in the district.

During the revision period from June 16 to August 23, authorities received 21,134 applications, 6,046 in Form 6 for inclusion, 1,938 in Form 7 for deletion and 13,141 in Form 8 for corrections or transfers.

During the SIR, 32,362 deceased voters, 17,127 duplicate entries, 59,901 permanently migrated voters and 5,425 absent voters have been identified.

Notices will be issued to 14,247 voters for lack of mapping and to 45,761 for various anomalies, with an opportunity to submit documents prescribed by the Election Commission, the Deputy Commissioner said.

He said that officials and Booth Level Officers will undertake house-to-house visits during the claims and objections period to improve the accuracy of the rolls.

“Voters can submit applications for inclusion, deletion and correction through the prescribed Forms 6, 7 and 8, preferably online. The draft rolls are available on the Chief Electoral Officer, Karnataka, website and the Haveri district administration website,” he said.

The Election Commission has also been urged to approve the appointment of 75 additional Assistant Electoral Registration Officers for the district, he said.
