Gorakhpur-Bandra Amrit Bharat Express to start on August 28: Check route, stops and timings

Gorakhpur-Bandra Amrit Bharat train: The Ministry of Railways is set to introduce a new Amrit Bharat Express between Gorakhpur and Bandra. The new train will improve rail connectivity between Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra. It will be maintained and operated by the North Eastern Railway (NER) zone.
According to North Eastern Railway (NER), the Trains on Demand (TOD) service 05053/05054 Gorakhpur-Bandra (T)-Gorakhpur will now operate as a regular weekly Amrit Bharat Express with train numbers 15085/15086. The Gorakhpur-Bandra Amrit Bharat Express will begin regular service from August 28, while the Bandra-Gorakhpur service will start from August 29.
Speaking to Indianexpress.com, Sumit Kumar, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of NER, said that the Gorakhpur-Bandra Amrit Bharat Express will be the second such train from Gorakhpur. He added that the first Amrit Bharat Express from Gorakhpur will start operations on August 27 on the Gorakhpur-Delhi route.

Gorakhpur-Bandra Amrit Bharat Express: Distance, Travel Time
The Gorakhpur-Bandra Amrit Bharat Express will cover the entire journey in around 34 hours and 10 minutes. It will have general unreserved and sleeper class coaches. The train will operate at speeds of 110 to 130 kmph.
Gorakhpur-Bandra Amrit Bharat Express: Route, Frequency, Stoppage
The Gorakhpur-Bandra Amrit Bharat Express will run once a week. On its route, the train will stop at several important stations, including Khalilabad, Basti, Gonda, Badshahnagar, Aishbagh, Kanpur Central, Tundla, Agra Fort, Bayana, Gangapur City, Kota, Bhawani Mandi, Shamgarh, Ratlam, Vadodara, Surat, Valsad, Vapi, Palghar and Borivali.
Gorakhpur-Bandra Amrit Bharat Express: Timings
According to Saurabh Jain, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Kota Division, train number 15085 Gorakhpur-Bandra Terminus Express will depart from Gorakhpur every Friday at 7:50 AM. It will reach Bayana at 10:08 PM and Gangapur City Junction at 11:00 PM on Friday. On Saturday, the train will arrive at Kota Junction at 12:55 AM, Bhawani Mandi at 2:08 AM and Shamgarh at 2:28 AM. After stopping at other stations on the route, it will reach Bandra Terminus at 6:00 PM on Saturday.
The return service, train number 15086 Bandra Terminus–Gorakhpur Express, will start from August 29, 2026. It will depart from Bandra Terminus every Saturday at 9:20 PM. The train will reach Shamgarh at 8:28 AM, Bhawani Mandi at 8:53 AM, Kota Junction at 10:15 AM and Gangapur City Junction at 12:35 PM on Sunday. After halting at other stations, it will reach Gorakhpur at 6:45 AM on Monday.
