Dombivli Janata Darbar: MP Shrikant Shinde Directs Officials To Resolve Citizens’ Grievances Within Stipulated Time

Dombivli, August 24, 2026: Kalyan Lok Sabha MP Dr Shrikant Shinde on Sunday held the ‘Khasdar Aplya Bhetit – Janata Darbar’ initiative at Jondhale Vidyalaya in Dombivli East, where hundreds of citizens directly approached him with personal, civic and administrative grievances.
The programme, organised as part of the ‘Khasdar Aplya Bhetit’ initiative, provided residents with a platform to put forward issues that had remained pending with various government departments and civic authorities. Shinde interacted directly with citizens and heard their grievances in detail.
Grievances Taken Up
Several issues were taken up in the presence of officials from the concerned departments. According to the organisers, a number of grievances were addressed on the spot, while officials were instructed to ensure that pending matters were taken up on priority and resolved within the stipulated time.

The Janata Darbar also saw representatives of various civic organisations and social workers submitting memoranda highlighting local concerns and development-related demands. Shinde assured the delegations that their representations would be examined and appropriate action would be initiated.
Shinde Stresses Prompt Action
Speaking at the programme, Shinde said the purpose of the initiative was not merely to listen to citizens but to ensure that their grievances reach the concerned authorities and are followed up until they are resolved.
Citizens should not have to make repeated visits to government offices for the resolution of their genuine grievances. The objective of ‘Khasdar Aplya Bhetit’ is to bring the administration closer to people and facilitate prompt action on their concerns, Shinde said.
He added that such Janata Darbars would continue to be organised in the Kalyan Lok Sabha constituency to provide citizens with direct access to their elected representative and help expedite pending works.
Officials Attend Programme
The programme was attended by MLA Rajesh More, Kalyan-Dombivli Mayor Harshali Chaudhary, district chief Gopal Landge, Yuva Sena district president Jiten Patil and corporator Vishwanath Rane, along with local representatives, office-bearers and social workers.

KDMC Additional Commissioner Harshal Gaikwad and several senior officials from the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) were also present. Their presence enabled several grievances concerning civic services and pending administrative matters to be taken up directly during the programme.
