In an article, “The long wait for a woman Minister in Karnataka” (Opinion page – ‘State of Play’, August 13, 2026), a sentence read: “Since then, the share has fluctuated, with the 1972 election seeing not even a single woman elected to the Assembly out of the 28 who contested.” It should have said, “Since then, the share has fluctuated from election to election.”
