The construction of a queue complex for the convenience of the devotees visiting the Si Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple in Srisailam will commence soon.

The 10th meeting of the Srisailam Temple Board of Trustees was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Pothugunta Ramesh Naidu and attended by Executive Officer M. Srinivasa Rao, members of the Board of Trustees, and special invitees. During the board meeting, Mr. Ramesh Naidu said the a detailed project report (DPR) for the construction of the complex was nearing its completion. The proposed three-story complex is designed to accommodate 12,000 devotees at a time, Mr. Ramesh Naidu said. 

He said that the Jyothi Siddhavatam temple, which is considered as southern gateway to Srisailam temple, would be developed in phases. A ceremony to install a new ‘Dhvajastambham’ (flagstaff) at the Siddhavatam temple is scheduled to take place from the August 29 to 31, he informed.

Meanwhile, the Trust Board has decided to arrange decorative lighting at the Sakshi Ganapati temple during the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, scheduled from September 14 to 23. It was also decided to provide additional mattresses and pillows at Nandikesha Sadanam, the accommodation facility used by the Shiva Sevaks (volunteers) serving at the temple, at an estimated cost of ₹19 lakhs.

The meeting also decided to lay cement concrete flooring in the open space in front of and adjacent to the toilet block located at Ganesha Sadanam and the Outer Ring Road central parking area, with an estimated cost of ₹9.20 lakhs. Furthermore, it was resolved to undertake comprehensive repairs, including drainage and flooring works, for the public toilets situated along the Pathalaganga route, with a budget of ₹32 lakhs. 

The Trust Board also decided to establish a permanent collection centre for the garments offered by devotees to the presiding deities (Sri Swamy and Ammavaru) at a suitable location within the Ammavaru temple.
