An Army recruitment rally will be held at the Indira Priyadarshini Stadium in Visakhapatnam from September 3-20, with 10,355 candidates who cleared the written examination expected to take part.

Visakhapatnam District Collector M. Abhishikth Kishore directed officials to make all necessary arrangements for the rally at a meeting held at the Collectorate on Monday. He directed officials to ensure transport, power supply, closed-circuit television cameras, public address systems, and information technology facilities for candidates.

A 1.6-km night run will be held from near the Kali Mata temple on the RK Beach Road to the Victory at Sea War Memorial. About 800 candidates will participate each day. Officials were directed to make arrangements for traffic regulation, police security, barricading, lighting, and drinking water along the route.

The Collector also directed officials to provide medical teams, ambulances, mobile toilets, accommodation, generators, waterproof tents, and other facilities, besides making arrangements for the physical fitness tests at the stadium.
