Actor couple Anushka Ranjan and Aditya Seal were blessed with twin baby girls, on August 23. They introduced their daughters – Vira Ranjan Seal and Mahi Ranjan Seal on social media, in an adorable post. Fans flooded the comments section of the post, after hearing about the happy news.

The post featured a cute card with illustrations of the two little girls on it. “We are very excited to share the news,” it read. The couple then revealed their daughters’ names and the date they were born on – August 23, 2026. Aditya took to his Instagram handle and wrote a brief note, which read, “My sunshines are here to brighten our lives.. Our hearts are full of love and gratitude. Vira Mahi #TeamGirl.”

The couple had announced the news of their pregnancy earlier this year, with a carousel of their maternity photoshoot. Meanwhile, Aditya and Anushka’s friends from the film industry also congratulated them on Instagram. “Many many congratulations,” wrote Patralekha. Anushka Ranjan’s newlywed sister, actor Akansha Ranjan commented, “My lifelines.” Many other celebs, including Rakul Preet Singh, Bhumi Pednekar and Sanya Malhotra dropped congratulatory messages in the comments.

Earlier in May, Anushka talked about her pregnancy with . “We are a little late in sharing the news as the baby is set to arrive in September. We wanted to give ourselves some time, hence the delay. Also, it has been an overwhelming moment for us to share the news with all. I was more nervous than ever, even announcing my wedding was easier than this, but now I am at peace and relaxed, as people’s response and the way our friends reacted is so emotional for us,” she said.

When Anushka Ranjan spoke about IVF

In a vlog on their own YouTube channel, Anushka Ranjan had opened up about the painful experience of In-Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) and her husband Aditya Seal’s support throughout the journey. She shared, “I have taken around 150 injections, minimum. Initially, Adi(tya Seal) used to administer them. I used to get very scared. They were thick and oil-based. When he used to put the needle in, I used to cry in pain. I used to see him walking to me with the injection, and I was like, ‘I just cannot deal with this anymore. I don’t know how I’m going to do this.”

She also revealed wanting to have a family since a couple of years. “Aditya and I started thinking about having a family. I think in 2023 and 2024 we were very casual about it. We were both busy with work and travelling, so we thought we would figure it out. You know, from childhood we are taught that if you get intimate with someone, you’ll get pregnant. And it’s not true. It’s really not true. I personally felt like, ‘Oh my God, does that mean something is wrong with me? Is there something lacking in us?”

Anushka and Aditya got married in November 2021, in Mumbai, after dating each other for a few years.
