Vasai-Virar City Municipal Corporation Takes Action Against Unauthorized Billboards

Vasai-Virar, July 3, 2024 Under the directives of the Hon. Commissioner and guided by the Hon. Additional Commissioner, with the presence of Hon. Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Vishakha Motghare, the Advertising Department of Vasai-Virar City Municipal Corporation has initiated action against unauthorized and dangerous billboards across the municipal area.

On June 27, 2024, action was taken in the ‘D’ ward, specifically near the Chimaji Appa Memorial in Vasai East. Three billboards with dimensions 20×20, 20×20, and 15×15 were removed. Similarly, in the ‘H’ ward, three billboards in the Panchvati and Stella areas of Vasai West were also dismantled, each measuring 15×20. A total of six billboards in wards ‘D’ and ‘H’ were taken down on June 27, 2024.

Further action was taken on June 28, 2024, in the ‘D’ ward near the Chimaji Appa Memorial, where three more billboards with dimensions 20×20, 20×20, and 15×20 were removed. In the ‘H’ ward, four billboards in the Manikpur Naka Hanuman Temple Stella area were dismantled, measuring 20×10, 20×20, 20×10, and 20×20. A total of seven billboards in wards ‘D’ and ‘H’ were removed on June 28, 2024.

On June 29, 2024, in the ‘I’ ward, action was taken against two billboards in front of Sagar Seth Petrol Pump, each measuring 15×20.

Most recently, on July 2, 2024, in the ‘G’ ward, two billboards at Bapane Phata were dismantled, each measuring 40×20.

From June 27, 2024, to July 2, 2024, the Advertising Department of the Vasai-Virar City Municipal Corporation has taken action against a total of 17 unauthorized billboards. This initiative will continue to ensure that all unauthorized billboards are removed, maintaining safety and compliance in the city.
