Mira-Bhayander :- The Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation’s Information and Public Relations Department organized a significant initiative under the umbrella of the Election Commission of India’s SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) program. Aimed at raising awareness among voters for the upcoming elections, the event targeted constituencies including 25 Thane Lok Sabha and 145 Mira Bhayandar Vidhan Sabha.
On March 28, 2024, starting at 10:00 AM, a morning procession was organized from Bhayandar Secondary School to Maxus Mall to engage voters. Various schools participated actively, with students from Marathi, Gujarati, Hindi, and Urdu medium schools, along with English medium schools like Carnation English Medium School, Subodh Vidyalay, and Bhayandar Secondary School, showing their support.
During the procession, students from Municipal School No. 16 showcased skits to educate voters about the importance of casting their votes, while students from Municipal School No. 22 presented songs to further emphasize the message.
This proactive approach by the Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation highlights the commitment to fostering a culture of active participation in the democratic process among citizens. By engaging the youth through creative means, the initiative aims to enhance voter turnout and promote civic responsibility.
