Navi Mumbai :- In a significant move, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation has successfully demolished an unauthorized two-story building in Ghansoli. The construction, located at Balaji Apartments in Shankarbuwawadi, Ghansoli, was undertaken without prior approval from the municipal authorities.
The building, comprising a ground floor and a second story, was constructed without obtaining any necessary permits from the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, which is a clear violation of the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act of 1966, specifically under Section 54. The municipal authorities had issued a notice in this regard earlier.
The owners of the property, Mr. Sahadev Kaluram Patil and Mr. Bhole Sonukumar Gupta, were responsible for initiating the unauthorized construction. However, instead of removing the illegal structure, they chose to proceed with the construction without seeking the required permits.
In response to the violation, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation and M/s. CIDCO jointly organized a campaign to demolish the unauthorized building. The operation involved a team of laborers and heavy machinery to ensure the complete removal of the structure. Local police were also present to maintain order during the demolition process.
This action serves as a stern warning to those who engage in unauthorized construction within the jurisdiction of Navi Mumbai. The municipal authorities are committed to enforcing the law and preserving the integrity of the region’s urban planning and development regulations.
Furthermore, the authorities are now gearing up to intensify their efforts against similar unauthorized constructions in the future. This incident highlights the commitment of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation and CIDCO to maintain the sanctity of urban development and planning regulations within the region.
