Navi Mumbai :- In the spirit of India’s Amrit Mahotsav, a nationwide celebration of freedom, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation is actively participating in the “My Land, My Country” initiative. This patriotic campaign has ignited tremendous enthusiasm across the nation and is seeing active involvement from various departments at the municipal level.
Citizens of Navi Mumbai are coming together in large numbers to display their love and respect for the nation. The campaign not only fosters a sense of patriotism but also pays tribute to the sacrifices made by our brave martyrs.
As part of this initiative, a novel program called the “Amrit Kalash Yatra” is being organized, where soil from every household in Navi Mumbai is being collected. These Amrit Kalash journeys, conducted by different government and non-governmental offices, have received an overwhelming response from the citizens.
Notably, the National Security Guard (NSG) Mumbai unit, led by Major Indrajit Barve and Mr. Jaswinder Singh, recently visited the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation headquarters and contributed soil to the Amrit Kalash. The Chief Commissioner of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, Mr. Rajesh Narvekar, accepted this symbolic offering on behalf of the city.
The event also saw the presence of city engineer Mr. Sanjay Desai, Nodal Officer of the “My Land, My Country” campaign Ms. Mangala Malve, additional city engineer Mr. Shirish Aradwad, executive engineer Mr. Sunil Lad, and Smiles Foundation coordinator Ms. Uma Ahuja, among other officials.
The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation has been actively organizing similar Amrit Kalash Yatras through its various departments, and all the collected soil will be brought together at the Municipal Corporation headquarters, representing unity and patriotism across Navi Mumbai.
This initiative showcases the city’s commitment to celebrating India’s rich heritage and commemorating the heroes who sacrificed their lives for our nation’s freedom. It is a reminder that the love for our land and our country runs deep in the hearts of the people of Navi Mumbai.
