Navi Mumbai :- In an official statement released today, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation has informed residents of several areas within its jurisdiction about an upcoming water supply disruption.
Due to maintenance work scheduled by the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company, the water supply in the Belapur, Nerul, Turbhe, Vashi, Koparkhairane, Ghansoli, and Airoli regions of Navi Mumbai will be temporarily suspended on Monday, October 9, 2023, from evening until the following morning. This interruption will affect both domestic water supply and public water fountains in the specified areas.
Additionally, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on the same day, there will be no water supply to the water pipelines and fire hydrants within the municipal corporation’s jurisdiction, including roadworks and construction sites. This disruption is part of a coordinated effort with the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company to ensure the safety of maintenance personnel.
Residents in the affected areas are encouraged to plan accordingly, as water will not be available during the specified hours. The Municipal Corporation urges citizens to use water judiciously and cooperate with the necessary measures during this brief interruption.
Furthermore, it is advised that residents store enough water for their daily needs during the period of disruption. The Municipal Corporation is committed to minimizing any inconvenience caused and ensuring the swift completion of maintenance work.
This collaborative effort between the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation and the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company aims to maintain the city’s essential infrastructure and ensure a reliable supply of services to its residents.
