Mira Bhayandar :- On October 10, 2023, as part of the ‘My Soil, My Country’ program, Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation, under the guidance of Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Sanjay Shripatrav Katkar (IAS), organized the ‘Amrut Kalash Yatra.’ The event was attended by Additional Commissioner Aniket Manorakar, Additional Commissioner Sambhaji Panpatte, Deputy Commissioner (Headquarters) Maruti Gayakwad, Deputy Commissioner Sanjay Shinde, Deputy Commissioner Ravi Pawar, Deputy Commissioner Kalpita Pimpale, City Engineer Dipak Khambit, Municipal Officers/Staff, and students from schools and colleges.
As per the directives of the Central Government, the ‘My Soil, My Country’ initiative was celebrated in the state from August 9th to August 20th. In line with this, the Municipal Corporation organized the ‘Amrut Kalash Yatra,’ wherein clay pots symbolizing the soil were carried from Savitribai Phule Udyan to the Buddha Vihar. This event saw the participation of NSS units, NCC units, students from schools/colleges, and Municipal officials/staff.
The ‘Amrut Kalash Yatra’ concluded at the Buddha Vihar, where six pots representing the soil from six different regions were ceremoniously collected by Municipal Commissioner Sanjay Shripatrav Katkar (IAS). Subsequently, all participants gathered to take a pledge for the cleanliness and betterment of their city, state, and country. Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Sanjay Shripatrav Katkar (IAS) extended an invitation to all citizens to contribute towards cleanliness and join hands with Municipal employees for this noble cause.
This event was a significant step towards promoting cleanliness and unity in Mira Bhayandar, fostering a sense of pride and responsibility among its residents.
