Palghar Zilla Parishad observes the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam
Palghar :- The Palghar Zilla Parishad celebrated the birth anniversary of the renowned Indian scientist and former President, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, today. The event witnessed the presence of junior administrative officer Sunil Wadekar, who paid his respects by offering floral tributes to Dr. Kalam’s portrait.
Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, India’s 11th President, was born in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu. He was an aeronautical engineer by profession and contributed significantly to India’s defense capabilities by spearheading projects like Agni-1, Agni-2, and Agni-3 missile development. He was honored with the prestigious Bharat Ratna award for his outstanding contributions. Dr. Kalam was also associated with ISRO and played a vital role in India’s space and missile development programs, earning him the title of “Missile Man.” In 2002, he was elected as India’s President, and his vision for a prosperous India continues to inspire many. His birthday, on the 15th of October, is celebrated as a day of inspiration to realize Dr. Kalam’s dream of a brighter India.
The event was attended by Zilla Parishad employees and served as a reminder of the indomitable spirit of this extraordinary individual who dedicated his life to the betterment of India.
