Mira-Bhainder City Braces for Water Supply Disruption as STEM and MIDC Authorities Schedule Maintenance Works

Mira-Bhainder :- In a bid to enhance infrastructure and carry out essential maintenance, residents of Mira-Bhainder City are advised to brace themselves for a temporary disruption in their water supply. The STEM Authority and Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) Authority have announced scheduled water supply interruptions, affecting the city from Friday, September 8th, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. until Saturday, September 9th, 2023, at 9:00 a.m.

STEM Authority’s Maintenance Work

STEM Authority is set to implement a 24-hour water supply interruption starting at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, September 8th, 2023. This pause is essential to facilitate the commissioning of a new express feeder at the Main Lifting Center Shahad, along with other vital maintenance tasks. During this period, residents of Mira-Bhainder City can expect a complete halt in their water supply.

MIDC Water Line Repair

Additionally, residents should be aware of a water supply disruption initiated by the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC). A significant 1590 diameter water line located at Thane, Balkumbh Fire Station, has been damaged and requires immediate repair. MIDC has scheduled the repair work to take place on Friday, September 8th, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., resulting in a 7-hour water supply suspension.

Low Pressure and Delayed Supply

While these necessary maintenance activities are carried out, residents of Mira-Bhainder City should anticipate low water pressure in their taps. Furthermore, it is essential to note that water supply restoration may take an additional two to three days after the shutdown period ends.

Citizen Cooperation

In light of these disruptions, the Municipal Corporation urges all citizens to cooperate by using water sparingly and efficiently during this challenging period. Your cooperation will help mitigate the inconveniences caused by these essential maintenance activities and ensure a smoother return to regular water supply.

The authorities are committed to improving the water infrastructure in Mira-Bhainder City to provide a more reliable and efficient service for its residents. Your understanding and patience during this time are greatly appreciated as these crucial upgrades and repairs are undertaken to benefit the community in the long run.
