Palghar :– The highly ambitious Ayushman Bhava campaign by the central government has reached a significant milestone with its district-level launch today at the Rural Hospital Palghar. This initiative is set to be implemented across all healthcare institutes in the district from September 17, 2023, to December 31, 2023, spanning the next four months.
The event saw the participation of key figures including Chief Executive Officer Bhanudas Palve, District Surgeon Dr. Sanjay Bodade, District Health Officer Santosh Chaudhary, Gynecologist Dr. Rajendra Chavan, and many other local public representatives.
In addition to the district launch, today also marked the inauguration of the program at the Aarogyavardhini Sanstha, taluka, rural hospital, and upazal hospital levels, with the support of local public representatives.
Zilla Parishad President Prakash Nikam, present in Jawhar, also played a significant role in launching this ambitious healthcare scheme.
The campaign’s start date, September 17th, coincides with the Prime Minister’s birthday and will run until October 2nd. During this period, a special Seva Week will be celebrated, focusing on cleanliness campaigns, blood donation awareness, and organ donation awareness at various levels.
Notable contributions to this program were acknowledged, with organizations like Rotary Club of Boisar – Tarapur, Bhageria Industry Limited, Ramakrishna Mission Sakwar, and Sw. Ratilal Devji Chavan Charitable Trust receiving honors.
Moreover, the event included the felicitation of 12 TB champions, the distribution of nutrition baskets to 15 TB patients, and the allocation of preliminary Ayushman cards to four individuals under the health scheme.
Vaishali Chavan of Maharashtra Blood Bank, a regular blood donor, was also honored for her invaluable contributions.
A health oath was taken in the presence of dignitaries, emphasizing the importance of healthcare access for all.
The Chief Executive Officer has challenged the community to maximize the benefits of this scheme.
During the campaign, the Ayushman 3.0 system will enable beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana to receive cards directly through Asha via ekyc, allowing beneficiaries to register and obtain their cards seamlessly.
Health fairs on various topics will be organized weekly across the district’s healthcare institutes, covering infectious diseases, maternal and child health, sickle cell disease, and eye health.
Additionally, camps led by expert doctors will be held in upazila hospitals and rural hospitals for thorough examinations, while community health officers and village-level health workers will raise awareness about public health initiatives.
Children aged 0 to 18 will undergo comprehensive examinations, and activities such as referrals for surgery and the distribution of ear machines will be prioritized over the next four months.
Furthermore, during the Ayushman Bhava Abhiyan, screening of all men above 18 will be conducted by the state government.
This comprehensive healthcare initiative represents a significant step towards ensuring accessible and quality healthcare for all residents of the district.
