Palghar :- In a significant development, the ambitious Ayushman Bhava campaign, initiated by the central government, kicked off today, promising enhanced healthcare services and accessibility for citizens. This extensive campaign, slated to run from September 1st to December 31st, 2023, aims to make healthcare more accessible to the people of Palghar and the entire district.
Under the leadership of the Hon’ble Collector, Palghar, a planning meeting was held on August 31st, 2023, to outline the strategy for the campaign’s implementation.
One of the pivotal components of the Ayushman Bhava campaign is the utilization of the Ayushman 3.0 system. Through this innovative system, beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana will receive their cards directly via eKYC facilitated by Asha workers. This user-friendly system empowers beneficiaries to self-register and obtain their healthcare cards efficiently.
As part of this comprehensive campaign, weekly health fairs will be organized across all health institutes in the district. Additionally, expert doctors will conduct health examinations at upazila hospitals and rural hospitals, ensuring that healthcare services reach every corner of the district.
The campaign further seeks to create awareness at the grassroots level through Village Health Nutrition and Sanitation Committee meetings, conducted by community health officers and village-level health workers. These meetings will focus on educating communities about health-related matters, including the distribution of Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana cards and Abha cards.
In the next four months, particular emphasis will be placed on the healthcare needs of children aged 0-18 years. This includes health examinations, referrals for children with hearing impairments requiring surgery, and the distribution of ear machines, among other essential services.
Mr. Govind Bodke, Collector of Palghar, has earnestly appealed to all citizens to take full advantage of this campaign. He encourages eligible beneficiaries to ensure they obtain their Ayushman cards to access improved healthcare services.
