A Step Towards Improved Accountability and Punctuality
Palghar :- In a significant move towards ensuring transparency and punctuality, all eight panchayat committees in the district have now adopted biometric attendance systems for officers and employees. This initiative follows the successful implementation of similar systems at Palghar Zilla Parishad, marking a positive change in the region’s administrative practices.
Group Development Officers, along with all panchayat samiti employees, are now required to record their attendance through biometric machines, which were inaugurated today by the Group Development Officers themselves.
This development can be attributed to the relentless efforts of Zilla Parishad President Prakash Nikam and the proactive approach of Chief Executive Officer Bhanudas Palve. Their joint initiative has led to the installation of biometric machines in the Panchayat Samiti, aimed at instilling a sense of discipline and punctuality among officials and employees.
One of the primary goals of implementing these biometric machines is to create a time-conscious work environment within the Panchayat Samiti. Late arrivals will no longer be tolerated, as biometrics will serve as a definitive means of tracking attendance.
Zilla Parishad President Prakash Nikam expressed his optimism about the positive impact of this move, stating that it will help eliminate laxity in attendance and ensure that all officers and employees in panchayat committees adhere to their prescribed work schedules.
With the introduction of biometric attendance systems in the district’s panchayat committees, the administration is taking a significant step towards fostering a culture of accountability and punctuality, ultimately benefitting the efficient delivery of services to the local community.
