Palghar:- In a shocking case of fraud, Palghar Zilla Parishad Member and Jawhar Urban Bank Chairman, Habib Shaikh, has been apprehended by Palghar Police for his alleged involvement in a scam related to creating a fake letter pad and forging signatures in the name of Palghar MP Rajendra Gavit. The scheme involved the approval of funds worth approximately ten crore rupees for the Mokhada-Khodala Vihigaon State Highway 78 road project in the Mokhada division of Palghar district.
The scam came to light when MP Rajendra Gavit sought approval for the aforementioned road project from the Public Works Department.
