Assam State Study Group Commends Navi Mumbai’s Public Service System

Navi Mumbai:- A study group from the Administrative Reforms and Personnel Administration Department of the Assam State Government recently concluded their visit to the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, expressing contentment with their inspection of the public service system. The delegation aimed to understand the workings of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation’s public services and learn from their implementation.

During their visit, the study group delved into the intricate details of 51 public services provided by the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation under the Maharashtra Public Service Rights Ordinance 2015. Notably, 28 of these services are accessible online, highlighting the corporation’s digital transformation efforts.

The study group, led by Additional Secretary of Administrative Reforms and Personnel Administration Department, Mrs. Panchali Kakati, and Deputy Secretary Mrs. Mithali Lahkar, observed the service delivery process in action at the Civic Facilities Center in the Vashi Divisional Office. They engaged with citizens on-site to witness the process firsthand and to better understand the user experience.

Pleased with the visit, the study group provided valuable insights and recommendations to enhance the online services offered by the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation. The group lauded the Corporation’s commitment to delivering public services effectively and within stipulated timeframes.

The delegation’s interaction extended to the community, where they witnessed the issuance of a birth certificate for Shreya, daughter of Mr. Amit Tiwari. From the application process to certificate acquisition, the study group observed the seamless service delivery firsthand.

Present at this event were notable figures including Konkan Revenue Divisional Commissioner of State Service Rights Commission Mr. Baldev Singh, Municipal Commissioner Mr. Rajesh Narvekar, and Additional Commissioner Mrs. Sujata Dhole. The Corporation’s dedication to efficient public service delivery was well represented by their presence.
