Mira-Bhayander : In the last few days, the number of Covid victims has been increasing rapidly and efforts are being made on a war footing to provide the necessary health facilities for their treatment. In this regard, the Corporation’s Covid Centers, which were temporarily closed after the incidence of Covid began to decline in the interim, are being re-opened. Proceedings are also underway to provide the required manpower for this.
While the number of corona patients in Mira Bhayander city has been increasing since last month, additional arrangements have been made by Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation for treatment and 67% of the beds were left vacant. In addition to this, instructions have been given by Municipal Commissioner Mr. Dilip Dhole to the health department officials to arrange 100 more beds at Covid Care Center at Appasaheb Dharmadhikari Hall. At the same time, in view of the present situation, if there is a need for more hospital beds in the future, in preparation of another Covid Care Center, today on 5th April 2021 at Kashigaon, Mira Road D.E.S Medical College and Hospital were inspected. Mira Bhayander Municipal Commissioner Dilip Dhole has identified a suitable place to be aware of the future situation and the Municipal Commissioner has directed to set up another Covid Care Center in the city.
So far, 90 oxygen beds have been provided in the Covid Care Center on the ground floor of Appasaheb Dharmadhikari Hall. At the same time, 58 beds of ICU and 148 beds of oxygen have been kept at Pramod Mahajan Hall in Kovid Care Center. At Meenatai Thackeray Hall, there are 3 ICUs and 166 oxygen beds. It also has 85 ventilator beds available for patients. The important thing in this is that the citizens should not face any problem in the availability of hospital beds and they should be provided special type of beds and ambulances according to the severity of the symptoms. Presented by Mr. Dilip Dhole.
