Mira-Bhayander : Considering the increasing number of corona patients in Maharashtra, the Commissioner of Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation, Mr. Dilip Dhole has appointed two to three squads in each ward to take punitive action against masked peddlers, citizens, vegetable sellers, non-observers of social distance. There are a total of 17 squads in six wards. This team consists of NMC Class-II officers, staff, police staff, staff of Encroachment Department and security guards, staff of Health Department. Municipal teams impose a fine of ₹ 500 / – on all of them without a mask. Today on 3/3/21 In the morning session under the direction and guidance of the Commissioner, a total of 60 persons in all the wards were prosecuted and a fine of ₹ 35000 / – was recovered. Similarly, a case has been registered at Nayanagar police station against two persons who opposed the action in Nayanagar area and got into a fight with the staff of the squad.
Municipal Commissioner Mr. Dilip Dhole has appealed to the citizens to go out of their houses only if they need to and not to walk around without masks.
Regarding various measures to prevent the outbreak of corona in Mira Bhayander city, Mira Bhayander Municipal Commissioner Mr. Dilip Dhole and Deputy Commissioner of Police Mr. Amit Kale spoke to reporters at a press conference. In this, 94 establishments were found to be violating the rules and 1350 cases were filed against the citizens who did not wear masks and about 4 lakh fines were collected. Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation and the police administration are ready to take joint action against those violating the rules. Therefore, the citizens of the city should follow the rules, wear regular masks, avoid crowds, only then will success be achieved in corona, appealed Municipal Commissioner Mr. Dilip Dhole.
A fine of ₹ 135450 / – has been recovered in Municipal region in yesterday’s action.
Two hotels have been fined ₹ 25,000 each.
Punitive action was taken against 170 persons without masks and non-observance of social distance yesterday.
