Navi Mumbai : It is believed that in order to get used to something, one has to do it continuously for 21 days and after that your body and brain get used to doing that thing. In order to inculcate the habit of cleanliness in the citizens of Navi Mumbai the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation is implementing a competitive & innovative initiative called ’21 Days Challenge’ (#21DaysChallenge) in line with ‘Swachh Survey – 2021’.
This initiative is being implemented for a period of 21 days from 19th February to 11th March 2021. In this, citizens are required to perform 5 daily hygiene activities on a regular basis and upload their photos on Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation’s online Facebook and Instagram page.
The 5 daily activities include (1) sorting the waste from the same place where it is generated, wet, dry and hazardous, (2) composting the wet waste at home using compost baskets (3) avoiding the use of banned plastics (4) reduce waste, reuse waste, recycle waste, implement 3R and (5) selfie with ‘Clean Survey 2021’ logo painted in various places under city beautification. There are 5 ways to do this.
These 5 actions are to be done every day for 21 days and the photos are to be uploaded daily on the Facebook and Instagram pages of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation. Add 2 hashtags #21DAYCHALLENGE and #SWACHHNAVIMUMBAI when uploading photos. After uploading the correct action and its photograph out of these 5 actions every day, each action will be given 100 marks like 20. In addition, some bonus action tasks will be given to the participating contestants over a period of one week.
The highest scorer in the 21-day Hygiene Challenge will be given a mobile phone ‘iPhone 12 Mini’ in the form of a prize. It will be presented by Shankar Mahadevan in ‘SS2021 Musical Night’.
In order to make our city clean and healthy, every citizen should contribute and cleanliness should become a regular habit. Everyone should participate in this 21-day cleanliness challenge and accept the challenge of cleanliness and stand a chance to win attractive prizes. Municipal Commissioner Shri.
