Contact Tracing has been carried out to identify whom he may have come in contact with.
Ajay Kumar (IAS) current union defence secretary of India has test positive for Coronavirus on wednesday, he is currently stable and in home quarantine.
Defence ministry acted swiftly on Contact Tracing for prevention of spread, officials said.
At the ministry’s headquarters, at least 35 officials work in the Rasina Hills at the South block of the quaters which is also being closed and for sanitization.
All of the 35 Officials at the South Block has been sent on home quarantine.
The offices of Defence Secratary, Defence Ministry, Army Chief and Navy Chief are also at the South Block.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh did not attend office as part of precautionary measure.
Mr Kumar is the first top government official to test positive for the disease.
