Mumbai: BMC in a recent tweet stated “If an employee dies due to corona virus while on duty. BMC will give Rs 50 Lakhs to their family. BMC is the first municipal corporation to implement this scheme. It will be starting from 01 March 2020 to 30 September 2020.
BMC is the richest civic body in the country, Mumbai is the worst affected city in the country by COVID-19.
